Wizard of Oz Museum Expands with New I Dream of Jeannie Experience in Cocoa Beach

The popular Wizard of Oz Museum is set to open a larger, upgraded location in Cocoa Beach in May 2026, bringing even more attractions and family fun to the Space Coast.

SET TO OPEN MAY 2026

Currently located in nearby Cape Canaveral, the museum has become a well-liked destination for both residents and visitors, known for its immersive exhibits and extensive collection of Wizard of Oz memorabilia. It’s regularly ranked as one of the top children’s museums in the United States on travel sites, offering interactive experiences that delight fans of all ages.

As part of the expansion, the museum will add a brand-new exhibit dedicated to I Dream of Jeannie, the classic sitcom famously set in Cocoa Beach. While the show was filmed in California, the story’s setting has made it a part of local pop culture, and this addition gives fans a chance to explore the series’ legacy firsthand through themed displays and interactive elements.

Museum owner Fred Trust says the move will be a nostalgic win for longtime residents and a fresh attraction for visitors who come to Cocoa Beach hoping to connect with I Dream of Jeannie. The expanded space will also allow for more Wizard of Oz exhibits and plenty of room for children and families to explore.

This expansion highlights how Cocoa Beach continues to grow as a destination for arts, culture, and entertainment on the Space Coast — promising even more reasons for locals and tourists alike to visit in 2026 and beyond.
