Getting to Lori Wilson Park
Use A1A / North Atlantic Avenue to reach the park at 1500 N. Atlantic Avenue. Follow the signs for the north or south parking area and public dune crossovers.
The county lists six dune crossovers, four ADA accessible. The off-leash dog park is separate from the ocean beach; beach pet rules still apply.
Choose your side of the park
The north area has a playground and picnic pavilions; both north and south areas have restrooms and outdoor showers. The south side includes the off-leash dog park. Use the signed dune crossovers to protect the dune vegetation.
Beach access & swimming
Four of the county’s six dune crossovers are listed as ADA accessible. Brevard lists a full-time lifeguard tower here. Check for a staffed tower, flag warnings and current access notices when you arrive.
The park covers about 32 acres and includes a 3,155-foot nature boardwalk. Check posted access notices before using trails or crossovers.
Before you head onto the sand
Use designated dune crossovers, bring water and sun protection, and check posted conditions. Park access and facility availability may change. Swim near a staffed lifeguard tower and follow flag warnings.
Cocoa Beach’s designated dog-beach area is south of downtown, from 4th Street South to the north side of Murkshe Park, with restricted morning and evening hours. Do not assume dogs are permitted on the ocean beach at this destination.
