Members of the Cocoa Beach Area Hotel & Motel Association recently participated in Brevard County’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Recruitment Fair, an event designed to connect local students with career opportunities across various industries. Held at the Courtyard by Marriott, the fair brought together educators and businesses from around the county to support students exploring their future paths.

Among the attendees was Jaime Teijeiro, General Manager of the Best Western and Days Inn Cocoa Beach. Jaime praised the professionalism and preparation of the students, noting, “The students were incredibly well-prepared—many had resumes and cover letters in hand, asked thoughtful questions, and carried themselves with a level of professionalism that really stood out. It was a great experience.”
Following the fair, several association members, including Jaime, expressed interest in offering internships to some of the students they met. These opportunities will provide hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, helping young people develop the skills they need for successful careers.

The event also fostered strong connections between local schools and the hospitality community. In a follow-up note, Jaime shared his appreciation: “It was a genuine pleasure connecting with such a well-prepared and professional group of students—many of whom, quite honestly, demonstrated stronger interview skills than some of the adults we meet at our properties.”

The CTE team also extended their gratitude, thanking the association and its members for their participation and dedication to student success. Photos from the event were shared to highlight the impact of the day and celebrate the collaboration between education and industry.
The Cocoa Beach Area Hotel & Motel Association looks forward to continuing its support of initiatives like this and strengthening its partnership with local educational programs in the future.
