The Cocoa Beach Hotel Association, a collective of dynamic hoteliers, has been instrumental in driving meaningful community projects in Brevard County, Florida. The association’s recent endeavors highlight its commitment to social responsibility and community involvement, especially in supporting charitable organizations throughout Brevard County.
Project Spotlight: Brevard Children & Families in Need
Spearheaded by Debra Green, the Cocoa Beach Hotel Association has established a commendable partnership with Brevard Children & Families in Need. This collaboration reflects a deep commitment to community welfare and social responsibility. The association has been actively working alongside the Space Coast Association of Realtors.
Over the years, this alliance has been instrumental in generating and donating significant funds, providing essential support to the children and families in Brevard County who need it most. This sustained effort showcases the power of collaborative work in making a lasting impact on the community.
Thanks to the efforts by Larry and Kacee Weber, the association has collectively donated five hundred rolls of toilet paper, towels, blankets, over one hundred pillows, hundreds of shampoo bottles, toothbrushes, toothpaste, thousands of bottles of body wash, and body lotion.
Engaging with the Florida Boys and Girls Club
The association’s visit to the Florida Boys and Girls Club marked a significant engagement. Event planning expert Dana Good from Homewood Suites played a pivotal role here. Jamie’s workshop on interview preparation and Tom Williamson’s insightful talk on the essence of hotel ownership emphasized the importance of workforce training. Ruby Daniels’ session on dressing for success further equipped attendees with essential skills.
Tom Williamson generously donated space at his venue for a series of presentations and a breakfast event for the Boys and Girls Club, furthering the association’s community engagement.
Collaborating with Keep Brevard Beautiful
Tony Stagni’s collaboration with Keep Brevard Beautiful highlights the association’s dedication to environmental stewardship, underlining the importance of community cleanliness and sustainability.

Some elementary schools have 80% or more of their kids on the free and reduced-price meal program with many of them at risk of childhood hunger and malnutrition.“
Hotels including OPA Hampton, Courtyard, Days Inn, and Best Western have been proactive in their involvement with The Children’s Hunger Project. By preparing and donating thousands of food boxes, these hotels have directly contributed to alleviating child hunger in the region.
Supporting Toys for Tots
An Ocean Partners initiative to gather toys for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program, with collection boxes at Hampton, Courtyard, Days Inn, and Best Western, reflects the association’s commitment to bringing joy to underprivileged children during the holiday season.
Employee Training Initiatives
Members of the hotel association are committed to providing their staff with the very best in customer service instruction and continuing education, partnering with Signature Worldwide, an industry-leading purveyor of hospitality training, in creating a truly legendary experience for visitors of Florida’s Space Coast.
Tom Williamson and Eric’s efforts at Courtyard, including a four-hour training program, focus on enhancing employees’ customer service skills. This training emphasizes active listening, professionalism, and adapting to the post-pandemic environment.
